There are many reasons though, it’s obvious that Ly Nha Ky is beautiful lady, but she also wears expensive costumes and not inferior to any A-class Hollywood stars, even more than that. And the more important thing is she is the scarce Vietnamese artist whose name is shown on the official guest list, a VIP Guest of Organization Department of this well-known Film Festival of the world.

Ly Nha Ky going to Cannes with her supportive crew who are professional public relation and could help her quickly update information and images and transfer from France to Vietnam via internet. What she is wearing today and how she is appearing on Cannes Film Festival red carpet has become the topic that people are died to know about and discuss loudly on social media and forums.

And amongst those discussions, people started to buzz and wonder about the picture in which Ly Nha Ky confidently posed on Cannes red carpet while forest of cameras did not point towards her. From this picture, “keyboard heroes” had chance to criticize Ly Nha Ky was ignored by international media and Ly Nha Ky pictures on Cannes red carpet were taken by her own crew, and that Ly Nha Ky borrowed Cannes to polish her personal reputation and image.

People were not hesitant to use unacceptable claiming words such as “ridiculous”, “embassarsing”… but forgot that Ly Nha Ky coming to Cannes Film Festival not serving for the purpose of… taking pictures. This time coming to Cannes, she was invited by the Organization department in role of a sponsor for the Cinéfondation organization – one of the primary award category of Cannes dedicated for new movie talents.

Before going to France, Ly Nha Ky also revealed that she hoped her sponsorship would contribute to bring Vietnamese film makers more confidence to step out into the world. Hence it’s crystal clear enough that she coming to Cannes is not only for posing on red carpet and then go home – one thing that many Vietnamese artists have might done before.

Not mentioning if even it’s not true, then the thing international media do not know or do not care to Vietnamese star is also understandable, especially when Vietnamese movie industry yet to have any outbreaking to show the world. Therefore if she was actually “abandoned” on red carpet, why it had to be a big deal?

Buzzing about Ly Nha Ky being “abandoned” on red carpet was not enough, many people discussed about her outfit whether it’s revealing too much, to which degree and reveal what part.

And in a picture which Ly Nha Ky was taken from a sideway angle, many “keyboard heroes” spent time arguing whether she got wardrobe malfunction in this dress which revealed her underwear, although the dress Ly Nha Ky chose to wear was pretty demure.

These buzzes from “keyboard heroes” made her uneasy going to Cannes. She has to convey to people that she going to Cannes is not a way to trigger a trick or to PR for herself.

Until now Ly Nha Ky is still in Cannes to complete her role of being a sponsor. However, if before going to Cannes she only worried about how to promote Vietnamese image and movie closer to international friends, now she also had concerns about how her appearance would be analyzed and criticized.

One thing is certain that people don’t care about the story of the 1^st Vietnamese person who’s capable of becoming a sponsor for the world’s honorable Film Festival, they only care about her dresses!
