The stories about Ly Nha Ky’s stolen identity at Cannes Film Festival was once again heated up when the official guests list was public.
Cannes Film Festival has successfully ended in France. Apart from her stunning appearances at this prestigious event, Ly Nha Ky stirred up much heat in the public when sharing that an Asian actress has used her identity for the ticket to the closing ceremony.
Recently, the story had resurfaced in the Internet community, starting by one Facebook status: “Cannes has ended for sometimes. Why we are still talking about someone who stole other’s identity just to walk the red carpet? The truth is lurking somewhere therefore I am so curious. Found this list when being on the official website of Cannes. Surprise surprise” – written by a Facbook user.
According to the attached link, the VIP official guests list of Cannes had only Ly Nha Ky’ s name as the only Vietnamese artist who has made it into the list. Due to her pre-scheduled plans, she was absent for the ceremony even though her name was still in the list among many international stars. Mean while, Vu Ngoc Anh – the person who actually waked the closing red carpet was absolutely not listed in the above list.
This status attracted much attention from the public almost immediately. Because after Ly Nha Ky’s sharing that someone has stolen her identity, Vu Ngoc Anh (too) quickly answered and implied that she was not that “someone”. On top of that, she also presented her tickets and declared that she was an official guest.
Ly Nha Ky did not attend the closing ceremony but was still on the guests list.
