Being a successful businesswoman, up to ears in work at a chain of fashion stores, real estate business, Ly Nha Ky still frequently does charity and takes part in social activities.
Often showing up in the events in the glamorous, billions-worth gowns, Ly Nha Ky joins charity trips in her very simple outfits, giving gifts to the disadvantaged. She once shared that she would do her best to be a fresh and scented rose: “Each day will be a flower and life will be a fresh and scented bunch of flowers”

In 2008, Ly Nha Ky was the ambassador of Avon cosmetics in the campaign “Avon’s Empowerment Bracelet” in order to create fund to help women all over the globe under domestic mistreatment and violence or having unfortunate lives.
Up to 2009, the actress of the movie “Cold Summer” accepted the invitation of being a Smile Ambassador in Vietnam for Operation Smile, a non-government organization providing free medical and orthopedic surgery service to children and juvenile with cleft lips and cleft defects.

At the end of that year, Ly Nha Ky went to China for the Charity Award Ceremony by China’s Associated Press as invited by Ms. Alice Chiu – The chairwoman of Henyep Group and Sheen Hok Charity Fund. Here, she had a meeting with Mark Obama Ndesandjo, the half brother of the US President Barack Obama. After that, she accepted the invitation to be the Vice President of Sheen Hok International Fund and the President of Sheen Hok Fund in Vietnam.
The female billionaire once said “I have done charities for more than 30 years monitoring Sheen Hok Fund over 15 years, I can feel that Ly Nha Ky is the one I need. From the first time I saw her, I could see her great heart. She has fulfilled her responsibility as the President of Sheen Hok Vietnam and the Vice President of International Sheen Hok Fund. Also, I want Kỳ to be my adopted child to strengthen the connection between me and her”.

“The charity work comes from the heart and not everyone wants to devote their time and effort to the community. I would be really sad if people misunderstand the motives of those doing charity. The charity work is not to boost their reputation or any other purposes”, Mrs. Alice Chiu emphasized.
In 2010, Ly Nha Ky’s billionaire adopted mum Alice Chiu flew to Vietnam for the press conference and Gala Dinner to create funds for Sheen Hok in Vietnam. The conference announced Sheen Hok Fund to be officially operated after many supports from different sides.

Currently as the Vice President of Sheen Hok International Fund and the President of Sheen Hok Vietnam, she sponsored the construction of charity houses, local bridges, and scholarships for students having high performance, gave bicycles and sponsored eye surgery for poor children across the country.
Having done all of the meaningful activities above, Ly Nha Ky is one of 28 individuals receiving the Golden Cup “For the community development” the 5th time by Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism.

Also in 2010 and 2011, Ly Nha Ky joined a charity program to support eye exam and surgery for blind children in Phu Tho, Ha Noi, Binh Phuoc and HCMC, build charity houses in Kien Giang, local bridges in Tien Giang and give bicycles to good students in Dai Loc.
In 21 Sept 2010, Ly Nha Ky is voted to be the first Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam by Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism in one year. In 2011, her duty is to focus on encouraging votes for Ha Long Bay becoming one of the seven New World Wonders. She contributed significantly to the success of the campaign.

Furthermore, in 2014 Ly Nha Ky continued the journey to Tien Giang Province sponsoring eye surgery for 300 cataract patients. Three years ago, she used to be the main sponsor of the construction project of 3 new bridges in Go Cong Dong District, Tien Giang Province.
On this occasion, Ly Nha Ky visited clinics in Cho Gao District to visit the first 5 cataract surgeries of the project. She herself joined the surgery room, watched the surgery and talked to doctors and nurses about the life of each patient. Besides that, she didn’t forget to encourage the patients before their surgery. The actress choked with tears listening to their challenging lives for food and clothes that they couldn’t afford the treatment.

At the end of 2014, the former Tourism Ambassador Ly Nha Ky is voted to be the member of the Standing Committee of Vietnam – Philippines Friendship Association (belongs to Vietnam Union of Vietnam – Philippines Friendship Associations). This meeting also marked the official opening of Vietnam – Philippines Frienship Association in Vietnam. After announcing to stop the art related activities, Ly Nha Ky seemed to more actively join social and community activities.

In Dec 2015, though no longer being the Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam, Ly Nha Ky gave 50 million VNĐ to the poor family along with 50 new bicycles to studious children in Thang Binh District, Quang nam Province.

Ly Nha Ky shared that though they are just small gifts, she hoped that the poor will have a happier Tet. “In the new year, I hope that many poor students will have new bicycles. They don’t have to walk to school” – the beauty talked to local reporters. Her openness and friendliness created good impression on the local in Thang Binh District, Quang Nam Province.
