The Former Ambassador of Vietnam Tourism wrote: “Dear Father, today is September 2nd an important event of our country, the day when all Vietnamese people cheer up in happiness of Independence. I remembered years ago you used to tell me stories about memories of you and your companions in the battlefield, and the bravery of sacrifice to exchange for independence, peace and country reunion. These stories are also the lessons that you taught me, from which I grew up and until now I am still living, working and striving for the best, also having responsibility with myself, family as well as society.
I can surpass all difficulties and challenges to accomplish the success in life and in work, all thanks for your war stories with your companions that were told. Father, it’s been 10 years that I have not heard your stories anymore but you and your companions will always be in my heart, with our family and the country. I will keep trying nonstop to get more achievements, to contribute more for the society. I just want to tell you that: “Thank you my venerable Father”. – The touching confidence of Ly Nha Ky about her passed-away Father in the Independence Day took away tears of many people.

Along from her sincere confidence about her Father, her country are pictures of her childhood besides of sisters and brothers. In the 30-year-old black & white pictures, the Vietnamese beauty showed her innocence and pureness with her relatives. Her face does not look so much different from the present.
