Representative of Maticevski – the brand of Ly Nha Ky’s skirt in the Chanel show – confirmed that, the design with folds to create highlight points, not wrinkles.
Apprearing at Chanel show during Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week SS 2014, Ly Nha Ky chose a white dress by Maticevski. Compared with the dress in the first day, this dress was run down because of the combination way which was too heavy and over-detailed. Especially, Ly Nha Ky has also been complained about being too rumpled, which made her less elegant as walking with the international stars.
Talking to VnExpress.net, Ly Nha Ky explained: “The dress is designed with textured folds to achieve the different look & feeling. The purpose is to bring about the modern factor, following the fancy “sporty” trend of this year, yet the dress’ form remains the classic one”
She also asserted that, she wanted to bring about another image of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends, therefore, it is impossible for her to wear such a wrinkle skirt.

Representative of Maticevski, where the dress was made, also confirmed with VnExpress that the dress was not wrinkle. “The dress was made of 80% cotton and 20% metal. The crispness of the fabric helps to create such a different look & feeling. I was surprised because of the negative comments about the look, because that itself is such a highlight creation of the dress”
