    Monday, 29/02/2016

Hello Ly Nha Ky, congratulations for becoming the “big boss” of the Motor & Bike Federation of Vietnam. In this new role, are you confident doing good job as you used to do in other positions such as Tourism Ambassdor, or fashion model?

Ly Nha Ky: I just receive this new job for one day, but I already feel its pressure. The role of Vice President in charge of public relation for a Federation is quite a heavy job, and very difficult to say whether I’m confident or not at the first period of this term.

However, the term is quite long it’s up to 5 years and although being a newcomer, I’m confident that with such long time I will contribute a part of me into the movement development of this sport.

I don’t want to exaggerate while still being very new to this job, but talking about determination I have it far beyond. Of course, like other leaders in the federation I also want to bring Motor & Bike sport of Vietnam to a new position…”

As I know, seemingly Ly Nha Ky does belong to the world of sport. What is the reason drives you to accept the invitation to join in the Execution Board of the Motor & Bike Federation of Vietnam?

Ly Nha Ky: Actually when being invited to join the Federation I was quite concerned. I was concerned that while I like sport and have sporty spirit but my working schedule is too much hence I was quite hesitant. But when I heard those in the federation shared about intentions, work and desire for this Motor & Bike sport in the future, I felt very highly enthusiastic. Because they are very zealous and want to do something for this sport, I cannot refuse this dearly invitation and I feel the fire in the new term of the Federation too”.

You said that time is a difficult matter. So how could you arrange to complete this new role?

Ly Nha Ky: As I said, time is the most major difficulty I have to face now. Actually it makes me nervous when the workload before joining in the Federation is already very much, so much that I cannot take care of my health, I have to sacrifice myself and my personal affection for work lately, and now undertaking more work is worrisome.

When accepting the invitation I was hesitant, however I must try in everything. And my point is no matter how difficult I still have to do my best for work, and try to arrange well.

Of course, I cannot do it alone by myself, I need to do it with other departments, it would be very difficult if being “all by myself”. I hope I will contribute something in coming period in the role of the Vice President being in charge of public relation.

Besides matter of time, somehow you also do not belong to the world of pubic communication. What will you do to solve this in the future?

Ly Nha Ky: Being honest, I’m not the expert in the public communication area. I’m a total layman to this job, this job should belong to the journalists instead.  However I’ve worked with the public media for many years therefore it’s not too strange to me. Hopefully in my term I will receive many supports from the journalists as well as the artists.

Of course, in order to have such support I have to work hard and become a good image of the movement of motor & bike so I can receive back what I want, right? (laughed).

My ambition to this new job is quite big, certainly still the biggest purpose is brining the image of Vietnamese motor & bike up to top 3 of the area like the congress have consolidated.

Just like doing the tourism, doing sports is also a way to promote our country, our homeland to international friends. And I want to do this job well, with the greatest efforts of myself…”.

Thank you Ly Nha Ky for this conversation!
