Her name appeared on the website of Cannes Film Festival in the section of Cinéfondation together with Madame Mouna Ayoub, a best friend of Ly Nha Ky.

Having chance meeting Ly Nha Ky at Cannes Film Festival 2015, at the same time following her shining images at all events of Cannes Film Festival that she attended, the current President of Cannes Film Festival as well as the President of the Cinéfondation organization Sir Gilles Jacob has special impression about the Vietnamese beauty. Especially with the fact that Ly Nha Ky being the prestige sponsor of the exhibition “Unbutton fashion” of the famous French museum Les Arts Décoratifs, her name is also highly regarded among the upper class as well as art activists in France, that’s why she was selected to become the sponsor for new movie talents of Cannes Film Festival 2016 and 2017.
The Former Tourism Ambassador sahred that in the new role in Cannes she expects to create more hope and more trust for Vietnamese film-makers in the journey stepping out to the world. This May she will go to Cannes and attend most of primary activities of Film Festival.

The Cinefondation was established by Sir Pierre Viot and Gilles Jacob. Both are Former President of Cannes Film Festival. Sir Viot is the very first President of the Cinéfondation organization, after that Sir Jacob is in charge of this position until now. The Cinéfondation was established since 1998 from the zeal of Head of Cannes Film Festival, with the desire to continuously seeking for new talents to nurture them and contribute to educate big names of world movie industry. Every year the Cinéfondation selects 15 to 20 short and medium-length films from film schools all over the world for competition. The prize will be awarded to the best three at an official ceremony of Cannes Film Festival.
