The beauty shared her dream with us: “I am determined to bring a Vietnamese movie to the shortlist for the Golden Palm in the future.”
May 18th, film producer and investor Ly Nha Ky appeared on the red carpet for the premiere of Ahlat Agaci by Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, winner of 2014 Golden Palm.
“I think this is one of the best candidates for the Golden Palm. Bilge Ceylan was impressive, and he had already won before. The lesson in this movie was simple yet effective and related to everyone who are struggling to find the meaning of life,” shared Ly Nha Ky after the film.
Ly Nha Ky’s presence at the annual Cannes Film Festival was more than just personal successes, it was somewhat a milestone for more artists and movie makers from Viet Nam to step out of the comfort zone and join the international industry.
Not only being surrounded by French media, Ly Nha Ky also made it as a person in focus for the American giant Getty Images at Cannes 2018.
