This year Cannes red carpet has marked a number of Ly Nha Ky’s successful collaborations with Vietnamese famous designers. And Cannes is not the only stage, she has been consistently bringing Vietnamese designs to countless events both locally and internationally.
It was yesterday, we all saw her in a rather risky black panther tribal look, we have all seen her message about women empowerment in this male dominant industry. But today, she appeared royally like a noir film star in lavender.
“As a Vietnamese, I wish to bridge that gap between Vietnamese designers and my international friends. Previous outfits that I have brought to Cannes were well received and praised by international fashion houses around the world”, shared the beautiful lady.
According to Cannes activity plans, Ly Nha Ky was invited to the premier of the movie Plaire, Aimer Et couvrir vite by French director Christophe Honoré, one of the superior candidates for the Golden Palm 2018. “Coming to Cannes, being surrounded by and working with many of the most excellent people in the industry, I am more and more equipped to make the right decision in my film career,” she gladly shared.
Currently, the busy celebrity is closely working with the team of her movie Angel Face to review the project and planning the promotional direction ahead. Both parties are ready for the premiere of Angle Face at Cannes the night of May 12th.
According to the official news, Angel Face, co-produced by Ly Nha Ky, will officially have its grand premiere show. The ceremony includes all artists, directors, producers, and others involved dressing in black. This high honored is only rewarded to a small number of films during the festival, often the ones with high expectation from both the critics as well as festival-goers.
Prior to the show, Ly Nha Ky will walk the red carpet with the entire the team, including the talented director, the actress in spotlight Marion Cortillard to launch the project. This is the very first time there is a Vietnamese producer included in the candidate list at Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard category.
