    Saturday, 19/05/2018

May 18th, film producer and investor Ly NhaKy appeared on the red carpet for the premiere of AhlatAgaci by Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, winner of 2014 Golden Palm.

“I think this is one of the best candidates for the Golden Palm. Bilge Ceylan was impressive, and he had already won before. The lesson in this movie was simple yet effective and related to everyone who are struggling to find the meaning of life,” shared Ly NhaKy after the film.

Ly NhaKy’s presence at the annual Cannes Film Festival was more than just her personal successes, she has set a foundational milestone for other Vietnamese artists to come and join the international industry.

Not only being surrounded by French media, Ly NhaKy also made it as a person in focus for the American giant Getty Images at Cannes 2018.

Every picture of her stored on Getty Images are now accessible with the name “Ly NhaKy” boldly captioned below. And we must notice, Getty Images does not caption the name of everyone, only the famous or important people.

At Cannes 2018, Ly NhaKy has spent much time exchanged ideas with actors, actresses, and producers about their respective work. After her time in France, Ly NhaKy is going to invite many movie producers to Viet Nam to further her ambition of promoting Vietnam culture and tourism. “I have already planned to produce a movie about Viet Nam. I dream of producing a Vietnamese movie that is worthy for the run to the Golden Palm at Cannes film festival,” Ly NhaKy passionately shared.

After returning from Cannes 2018, Ly NhaKy will create opportunities for young talent of age 15 to 23, letting the most talented and passionate ones to pursuit their dream in film. Also in June, Ly NhaKy will be welcoming a female film producer to Viet Nam and facilitate her study on Vietnamese cultural beauty, hopefully a great production about Viet Nam will result from this.

Many people think I just came to Cannes to… do photoshoot. Actually, as an investor and producer and officially invited by Cannes organizers, my work included viewing and commenting on the competing works. On top of that, I exchanged my view of art with professionals, meeting actors, directors, and producers from around the world to further my knowledge in the industry,” shared Ly Nha Ky.

No one could deny the immense demand for her and her fashion choice, from photographers to fashion lovers and critics. They are all attracted to her appearance at Cannes in every movie premiere. It is rare to have such a beauty that “combine the best of the East with classiest of the West” like Ly Nha Ky.

After 4 years at Cannes, Ly NhaKy is now more and more confident with her insightful view of film. She gradually found her voice, compliments, and friends at this prestigious international playground. Her appearance is welcomed with appreciation and highly anticipated. Perhaps it is not much to say that Ly NhaKy has become her own “Vietnamese brand at the international level”!

Ly NhaKy continued to represent a Vietnamese design at Cannes. This time, she donned a stunning piece from designer Hoang Hai.

In this dark deep fabric beaded with crystal, she presented to the red carpet a perfect blend of Hoang Hai’s marvelous dress and Paolo Piovan jewelries.
