At the First Congress of the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association taking place in Ha Noi on Oct. 29th, Ly Nha Ky has been elected as Member of the Standing Committee of the Association.
On Oct.29th morning, Ly Nha Ky appeared graciously in Ha Noi to attend the First Congress of the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association. This is also the Congress marking the official establishment of Vietnam - Philippines Friendship Association in Vietnam.
Ly Nha Ky talked with Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
The Congress also elected a 29-member executive board, consisting of 8 members of the Standing Committee for the first term. Mister Vu Van Tam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, was elected president of the association for the first tenure.The former tourism Ambassador Ly Nha Ky has been elected as Member of the Standing Committee of the Association. Especially, she is the youngest member of the Executive Board.

The First Congress of the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association honored to welcome former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Vietnam-ASEAN Friendship and Cooperation Association Le Cong Phung, Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam Jerril G. Santos, President of the Philippines – Vietnam Friendship Association Eddie Ilarde as well as the representatives of ministries, departments and the staff of the Philippine Embassy.

Mister Eddie Ilarde, President of the Philippines – Vietnam Friendship Association shared that he really respects former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh as a mother, because he admires for what she has done for the people and the nation in her life and her career.
Ly Nha Ky was graciously considered and encouraged to be more dynamic in the activities of the Association by the former Vice President. Ly Nha Ky also got public’s appreciation when helping former Vice President to her car after ending the Congress.For Ly Nha Ky, she absolutely admires the former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, who has been always working for people and for country, an image of a resilient woman.
