The former tourism Ambassador Ly Nha Ky has been elected as Member of the Standing Committee of the Association. This is also the Congress marking the official establishment of Vietnam - Philippines Friendship Association in Vietnam.
On Oct.29th morning, Ly Nha Ky appeared graciously in Ha Noi to attend the First Congress of the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association.
This is also the Congress marking the official establishment of Vietnam - Philippines Friendship Association in Vietnam. The Association will work together on practical activities to boost understanding about history and exchanging culture between Vietnam and the Philippines.
The first appearance of Ly Nha Ky and the Standing Committeein Ha Noi on Oct. 29th.
The Congress also elected a 29-member executive board, consisting of 8 members of the Standing Committee for the first term. Mister Vu Van Tam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, was elected president of the association for the first tenure. The former tourism Ambassador Ly Nha Ky has been elected as Member of the Standing Committee of the Association. Especially, she is the youngest member of the Executive Board.
After stating the inactivity in showbiz, Ly Nha Ky attended more charity and social events. As a member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association, Ly Nha Ky desires to contribute to the relationship of the two countries as the purpose of the organization. Ly Nha Ky herself and her company have had trading and commercial relationship with many Philippine entrepreneurs. Her attendence in the Association also provides more relationship for the development of bilateral cooperation, friendship and people exchanges.

The First Congress of the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association honored to welcome former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Vietnam-ASEAN Friendship and Cooperation Association Le Cong Phung, Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam Jerril G. Santos, President of the Philippines – Vietnam Friendship Association Eddie Ilarde as well as the representatives of ministries, departments and the staff of the Philippine Embassy.
