Last week, in the Bina Graha Building within the Presidential Palace of Indonesia, Mr. Moeldoko had a pleasant meeting with businesswoman Ly Nha Ky from Viet Nam.

In addition to the cooperation between Ly Nha Ky’s LYNK group and Indonesian businesses, they further discuss trade opportunities between enterprises from both countries. Impressed by the achievements of Ly Nha Ky and her group, Mr. Moeldoko strongly expressed: “The Indonesian investment market has always been open to foreign businesses, especially the ones with influential power and strong development like LYNK”.

In response to Mr. Moeldoko, businesswoman Ly Nha Ky gladly replied: “First of all, I would like to send my most sincere thanks to Mr. Moeldoko, who has been wonderfully kind inviting me to this special meeting. Having led LYNK Group for many years, I felt truly honored to be given many opportunities as well as challenges. Until now, when LYNK GROUP has long established its trademark and solid position on the market, this special meeting is one of the rare chances I strongly believe that I along with my business group are capable of joining others on the international playground in the process of our international integration.

Ly Nha Ky is the very first Vietnamese businesswoman to be invited to the Presidential Palace by the Presidential Chief of Staff – one of the most important figures in Indonesian government.

For the occasion, businesswoman Ly Nha Ky generously had an interview with the press.

As the very first Vietnamese businesswoman invited by the Indonesian Presidential Chief of Staff, can you share with us your feelings?

Personally, I am extremely happy and honored by this special invitation. But as a businesswoman, this clearly marks a great challenge for me as it is directly associated with my business’s brand and credibility. Whenever I have chances to meet with international friends, especially with important people like Mr. Moelkodo here, always I consider them golden opportunities to draft many audacious ideas that are decisive to my business’s future.

Can your share more in details about LYNK’s current activities?

As you know, LYNK Group has been active and investing in many fields. Apart from our strength in investment consultation and real estate, LYNK is also the distributor for many world’s prestigious luxury diamond brands. LYNK is currently developing in the field of investing and producing international films. On top of that, in the category of general diamond, we are creating many designs under the brand LYNK. They are more affordable to many people but still retain the high quality and international standards.

In the near future, we will increase our investments in both domestic and international market, with many Indonesian businesses as potential partners. We are currently negotiating with EACP – one of Indonesian largest investment groups – on trades opportunities in many fields.

As a successful businesswoman, an artist of the moments, a fashion icon who makes frequent appearances in diplomatic and community activities, so where is your limit?

I honestly have never set a limit for myself. I only make goals and plans to achieve them. To me, happiness is when can I accomplish what I put forth. Every one of us was born to a role in society. The important point is how we can deliver ourselves with balance of work and responsibility. And to me, the goods will always come when you have given your best.

    Connect businesses in both countries.

Despite his hectic schedule from his role as the Chief of Staff, Mr. Moeldoko spent his time for an interview with the press after his meeting with businesswoman Ly Nha Ky.

    • What is your opinion about businesswoman Ly Nha Ky?

Mr. Moeldoko: When I was the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, I first knew Ly Nha Ky as the first Tourism Ambassador of Viet Nam. And I may say, she is a keen and sharp businesswoman.

    • What are your views on the trade opportunities between two countries?

Business from both countries do have many opportunities for mutual development. Special meetings like today could mark the turning point for our cooperation and economic relationship. In reality, our two countries need a “fulcrum point” to promote tourism and economic development. And I think businesswoman Ly Nha Ky is a wonderful person to bridge the gap for businesses from both countries.
