The organizer of Venice Film Festival 2018, the most prestigious institution in the movie industry based in Italia, had just announced the list of competing titles. Most notably is “Non Fiction” from the French director Olivier Assayas, which Ly Nha Ky has invested in.
In 2018, Ly Nha Ky has invested in 2 international titles, “Angel Face” and “Non Fiction” (old name: Ebook). With “Angel Face” of director Vanessa Filho got into the Uncertain Regard category, the 2nd most important prize behind the Golden Palm at Cannes Film Festival, “Non Fiction” has recently received the nomination for the Best Movie at Cannes Lions, the most prestigious prize of all in Venice.

“Non Fiction”, French title: Double Vies, is a story around the mid-life crisis of 2 middle-aged man: editor Alain (Guillaume Canet) and writer Léonard (Vincent Macaigne). They are under great pressure from the more ever challenging world of publishing, while feeling heat from the demands of their wives (Juliette Binoche, Nora Hamzawi). Similarly to many of his previous work, Olivier Assayas wrote the script for “Non Fiction” himself.
The movie starred the great French actress, Juliette Binoche. She has risen to the fame with titles such as: Three Colors: Blue (1993), Chocolat (2000) and Clouds of Sils Maria (2014). There were also Guillaume Canet – the infamous actor from France and Vincent Macaigne, famous actor and writer.

Thanks to her fateful meetings at Cannes Movie Festival in 2017, Ly Nha Ky has had a great relationship with director Olivier Assayas and producer Charles Gillibert. For that, she had meetings, spent a long time co-working with the two film producer as a co-producer of “Non Fiction”. From sources, it was known that the three has had meetings in preparation in Paris last fall and Ly Nha Ky has become the youngest producer for a movie by director Olivier Assayas.
